KIJHL Playoffs: Creston wins triple overtime battle with Beaver Valley

A big win for the Creston Valley Thunder Cats in the KIJHL playoffs as they beat Beaver Valley 6-5 in triple overtime Wednesday night.

The Thunder Cats had a 5-2 lead halfway through the third period, only for the Nitehawks to get three goals within four minutes, tying things up.

It would take nearly three full overtime periods before Stavros Koutsantonis would score the game winner for Creston.

The Thunder Cats are one win away from moving on to the third round of the KIJHL Playoffs.

They lead their second round series with Beaver Valley three games to one, with Game Five happening in Fruitvale Friday night.
