Advance voting taking place today in the East Kootenay for the General Municipal Election

Advance voting is underway today (Oct. 7) across the East Kootenay for the 2026 General Municipal Election, giving voters an early opportunity to cast their ballots for mayors, councillors, and school trustees.

Below are advance voting locations across the East Kootenay for councillor, mayor and school trustees.

Cranbrook

Location: Senior Citizens Hall at 125 17 Avenue South, Cranbrook.

Time: October 7 between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m.

RDEK Area C Residents – Voting for School Trustee only

Location: RDEK Board Room at 19 – 24th Avenue South, Cranbrook.

Time: October 7 between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m.

Kimberley

Location: Centennial Hall at 100 4th Avenue, Kimberley.

Time: October 7 between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m.

Fernie

Location: Senior Citizens Drop-In Centre at 562 3rd Ave, Fernie.

Time: October 7 between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m.
