Voting options for East Kootenay residents in the upcoming General Municipal Election

Voters across the East Kootenay will have several ways to cast a ballot in the 2026 General Municipal Election, including advance voting and mail-in voting.

General Voting Day is October 17, where will elect mayors and councillors, school district trustees and Regional District of East Kootenay directors.

Whether you vote on General Voting Day, at an advance poll or by mail, these options make it easier to have your say.

Cranbrook Voting

Voter Registration

If you are not on the voters list for the 2026 Municipal Election, you may register at the polls. Bring two pieces of identification: one showing your name and signature, and one showing your name and civic address.
