Community partners are working together to care for Idlewild Park in Cranbrook, with the park temporarily closed Tuesday (Sept. 22) to allow the work to take place.
A team of 60 to 80 employees and volunteers from Teck, the Rotary Club of Cranbrook BC and McElhanney will paint, spread mulch, weed, assemble picnic tables donated by Home Hardware and complete other projects to keep the park welcoming and well maintained.
The disc golf area, both parking lots off 13th Street South and the loop around the lake will remain open.
Closure hours: 12:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
