Drivers in the Elk Valley have passed a recent large-scale sobriety test with flying colours, says the Elk Valley RCMP.
Mounties conducted the check stop on Fording River Road in Elkford last week, on April 23.
More than 230 drivers were checked with a breathalyzer – and RCMP say all drivers were confirmed to be sober.
Police were also keeping an eye out for any open liquor in the vehicles.
“The project is one of the many ways that the RCMP is seeking to pursue safer roads in our communities,” said Elk Valley RCMP.
The enforcement blitz was done in part with BC Highway Patrol Officers and Police Dog Services.
