Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) has issued a weather statement for the East Kootenay and Elk Valley regions.
The agency warns that snowfall could reach up to 10 cm in some areas on Wednesday (Apr. 15) evening.
While the system is expected to be brief, it may be intense.
Some locations could see significant snowfall, while others may receive little to none.
ECCC adds that residents should be prepared for rapidly changing and potentially hazardous travel conditions.
