1 arrested after RCMP execute firearms search warrant in Trail

RCMP has now taken one man into custody after a firearms investigation in Trail.

Mounties applied to search a home on Mills Street in Fruitvale after finding that firearms offences had taken place on Friday, April 10.

This morning, April 15, the Southeast District Emergency Response Team (SED ERT) supported officer and public safety as Trail RCMP executed the search warrant.

One man was arrested and remains in custody pending a court appearance.

“Trail RCMP would like to thank the public for their patience during this dynamic police incident,” said Corporal Brett Urano, BC RCMP spokesperson. “The use of SED ERT was essential in keeping all parties safe, and their assistance was greatly appreciated.”

Investigation is ongoing.
