As we’ve reported in the last few days, property assessment values for 2025 rose in both Cranbrook and Kimberley, but that’s certainly not unique to the two communities.
In fact, Sharlynn Hill with the BC Assessment office in Cranbrook says the trend is pretty well the same right across the board including in the Regional District of East Kootenay.
Hill shared details last Friday during the RDEK’s regular monthly board meeting of directors…
Hill went on to say that at least one community in our region has seen a significant jump year-over-year, the District of Elkford, which climbed by 11 percent.
It should be noted that this year’s assessments are actually measured from the previous July, as they are every year.
