Fire activity significantly reduced for Lladnar Creek Wildfire near Sparwood
Cooler temperatures and rain have helped significantly reduce fire behaviour for the 945 hectare Lladnar Creek wildfire near Sparwood.
The BC Wildfire Service says patrols are keeping their guard up.
Ground crews are monitoring burn operations that took place over the long weekend.
Hand and equipment guards are also being established around the southern flank of the place, stretching from Lladnar Creek to the transmission lines.
The work is being done there for future planned ignitions.
All Evacuation Alerts in Sparwood remain in effect at this time.
