More Evacuation Alerts issued in Sparwood in response to Lladner Creek Wildfire

The District of Sparwood has issued an Evacuation Alert for more properties within the community, in response to the Lladner Creek wildfire.

The Lladner Creek blaze now measures at 150 hectares, based on measurements by the BC Wildfire Service Sunday.

The alert includes all properties on Upper and Lower Matevic Road and all properties in Sparwood Heights, South of Sparwood Heights Drive.

Not included in the alert are Whiskey Jack and properties North of Sparwood Heights Drive.

The announcement from the District adds on to a previous Evacuation Alert issued for four properties on Matevic Drive.
