The AGM will open for check-in and networking at 8:30 a.m. at the Bayleaf Fernie Golf Club and be followed by a breakfast at 9:15.
According to the Chamber, Board Chair Antony McElwee and Executive Director Wendy McDougall, the event, “will present the annual report, offering insights into the Chamber’s progress over the past year and outlining long-term strategic priorities aimed at fostering growth and sustainability in Fernie.”
The event will also feature a keynote speaker, Jared Basil, a Ktunaxa Cultural Framework Educator.
During his time, organizers say Basil will discuss topics like “Ktunaxa Nation, Indigenous-led business success stories, and the role of economic development in building a more resilient and connected community.”
Tickets are available on the Fernie Chamber of Commerce website, for $35 for non-standing members and $30 for good standing.
Residents are encouraged to purchase their tickets up until the day of the event.
