Cranbrook’s Indigenous Justice Centre opens

The Province has now fulfilled its promise to build 15 Indigenous Justice Centres across BC, including one in Cranbrook.

Attorney General Niki Sharma says each office was strategically placed, based on community location.

She added the process has only taken two years from the time of the announcement, and is pleased with the quick turn-around… 

Cranbrook is home to the only IJC in the East Kootenay.

It’s located downtown on 12th Avenue South.
