Kimberley jumps to Stage 2 water restrictions

The City of Kimberley has decided to begin its outdoor watering restrictions with a Stage 2 designation instead of a Stage 1, which would normally be the case.
The new rules take effect immediately.
In a release this morning, the City says it’s a proactive measure to manage water resources.
It cites reduced snowpack levels and a forecasted warmer and drier summer, as two of the reasons.
Under Stage 2, residential properties with even-numbered addresses will be able to water Wednesdays and Saturdays between 4 and 10am and then, again, from 6 until 10pm.
For odd-numbered addressed, it’ll be the same hours but on Thursdays and Sundays.
Non-residential customers with odd-numbered addresses can water from 1 ’til 6am on Tuesdays, while even-numbered can do so do from 1 ’til 6am Wednesdays.
Complete information is on the City’s website: www.kimberley.ca.
The City of Cranbrook is already under its own Stage 2 restrictions.
