Bucks begin west coast road trip in Powell River
There will be no shortage of ferry rides for the Cranbrook Bucks this weekend.
The Bucks get started on a three-game visit through the west coast Friday night versus the Powell River Kings.
This will be Cranbrook’s first visit to Powell River since joining the BCHL for the spring pod season in 2021.
On Saturday, the Bucks head to Vancouver Island to face the Victoria Grizzlies, that will be followed by a battle with the Surrey Eagles on Sunday.
Cranbrook heads into Friday’s game with a grip on the seventh seed in the Interior Conference, while Powell River has just one win through their last ten games.
Meanwhile, the BCHL has announced its first wave of players selected for the upcoming all star tournament in Penticton, and Bucks captain Donovan Frias has made the cut.
Oh captain, our captain!
Cranbrook Bucks captain Donovan Frias has been selected to the BCHL Interior Conference All Star roster.
He will represent the Bucks at the BCHL's 3-on-3 all star tournament in Penticton on January 20.
