A school in Kimberley was briefly evacuated Thursday morning, and has reopned.
Staff noticed a strong odour upon arriving at Marysville Elementary School Thursday morning, Fortis BC and the fire department were contacted and students were transported to Bootleg Gap Golf Course.
The odour was found to be coming from a battery charger in a piece of custodial equipment which produced a strong odour through the HVAC system.
The building was ventilated and students were cleared to return to class at 10:00 am.
The school has issued a notice saying end of day pickup and buses will run as scheduled.
