New compost program begins in Kimberley

Kimberley’s new curbside organics waste collection program gets underway throughout the city Tuesday, September 5.

New bins for the compost program were delivered late last month, with a small kitchen bin for compost and a curbside cart being provided.

With the compost system being introduced, garbage will now be collected every other week in Kimberley.

Compost will be collected every week from April to October and every other week from November to March.

Residents are reminded not to put their garbage or compost carts curbside before 5:00 a.m and no later than 7:00 a.m.
