A full year of flights is now in the books for Angel Flight East Kootenay.
The service made their final flight for 2022 last week, transporting 570 people to and from Kelowna for appointments over the course of the year.
That’s a significant increase from 2021 with only 110 passengers transported.
Founder and President Brent Bidston said in an earlier interview the large increase in passengers is thanks to the new plane of the fleet, a Cessna 414A which they bought near the end of 2021.
Bidston thanked Angel Flight’s partners Bid Air hanger in Cranbrook and Shell Aerocentre in Kelowna for their support.
