Cranbrook Chamber of Commerce Business Walk checks in with 108 businesses

The Cranbrook Chamber of Commerce’s Business Walk is once again checking the pulse of the local business community.
In September, chamber volunteers presented a survey to 108 businesses on their concerns, ideas and comments regarding the business community in Cranbrook.
Responses say the top three reasons to do business in Cranbrook were clientele, location and affordability, while the top three challenges were finding employees, supply chain issues and vandalism and theft.
This year’s survey looked into employee retention and recruitment, 58% of respondents were impacted by labour shortages and 220 employees would be needed to fill the gaps.
