Cranbrook to start next phase of spring street sweeping

The City of Cranbrook is advising residents of additional road sweeping.

Starting Monday (March 30), crews will shift their spring street sweeping operations to Zone 1 West for the next few weeks.

The work is intended to remove gravel and debris that accumulated over the winter months.

Zone 1 West includes the area from Highway 3/Van Horne Street to 14th Avenue South, between 1st Street South and 11th Street South.

The City says work typically takes place Monday through Friday, between 7:30 a.m. and 10:30 p.m.

Residents are being asked to make every effort to park off-street wherever possible to allow crews to complete a thorough cleanup.

While spring marks the start of street sweeping operations, the City says crews will continue maintenance at regular intervals throughout the spring and summer.
