Fernie Ghostriders’ Lucas De La Salle commits to Anna Maria College

Fernie Ghostriders forward Lucas De La Salle has committed to play collegiate hockey for Anna Maria College in the NCAA Division III for the 2025–26 season.
De La Salle, 20, joined the Ghostriders partway through the 2024–25 season following a trade from the Northern Manitoba Blizzard of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League.
The Edmonton native recorded six points in 20 regular season games with Fernie and added one assist in four Kootenay International Junior Hockey League (KIJHL) Teck Cup playoff games.
He began his junior hockey career in the KIJHL with the Columbia Valley Rockies, registering 39 points in 43 games as a rookie during the 2021–22 season.
He added five points in six playoff games that year.
The forward said he improved his puck confidence and playmaking abilities during the 2024–25 season.
He credited the Ghostriders organization and teammates for contributing to his development.
Anna Maria College is located in Paxton, Mass., and its hockey program competes in the NCAA’s Division III.
