The Canadian Rockies International Airport will start welcoming more flyers this month.
This is thanks to both WestJet and Air Canada increasing their air services by a combined 48,000 seats a year, in 2025; as each airline has added three new Q400 flights per week.
According to the City of Cranbrook, “This expanded capacity reflects strong demand for both leisure and business travel to and from the Canadian Rockies, as well as growing confidence in YXC as a vital transportation hub.”
Tristen Chernove, Airport Manager at the Canadian Rockies International Airport said, “We’re thrilled to see this level of investment and commitment. These added flights not only increase convenience and flexibility for our passengers, but they also support the region’s economic development, tourism, and accessibility.”
Anyone looking to view the updated schedule, or would like to book a flight can visit, the airport’s website.
Travelers are encouraged to book early, and take advantage of the expended service.
