Fernie to pen new agreement with Recycle BC

The City of Fernie is looking at renewing its curbside recycling program come the new year.

In a report to Council November 26th, staff is recommending the City `re-up`with Recycle BC beginning January 1st.

The program, which began in July, was one of two started by the City in 2024; the other: the organics waste program.

A single-family household will pay, on average, 41 dollars in 2025 under the new agreement.
