Recriminalizing Public Drug Use

A decision last month by the provincial government to recriminalize drug use in public spaces is gaining reaction from both sides of the debate.
Not so much as Cranbrook’s mayor, but as a member of the community, Wayne Price felt it was the right decision…
A formal request was sent to Health Canada to change the exemption under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
It’s all part of a three-year decriminalization pilot project with the federal agency.
