Rockies Car Show revving into Cranbrook Saturday in support of neonatal intensive care
The Rockies Car Show is fast approaching.
The new event is being hosted at Bridge Interiors and Pop Price Park in Cranbrook on Saturday, July 22 from Noon until 10 p.m.
Its a fundraiser for the East Kootenay Foundation for Health’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit campaign.
Foundation Executive Director Brenna Baker says the event will help make a significant contribution to neo-natal care in the East Kootenay.
“Currently with our pediatric unit, we have to send our babies away, but we will be building a neonatal intensive care unit,” Baker says. “So babies up to 32 weeks, we might be able to keep them close to home, depending on their health conditions.”
The EKFH campaign focuses on bringing a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit to the East Kootenay at a cost of $1.8 million.
Owner Ken Bridge is happy to have Bridge Interiors involved with this important cause.
“Its something that I’ve been thinking about for a really long time,” Bridge says. “Its coming together really, really well. We’ve had a lot of support from the community and everybody that’s participated is donating 100 percent of their time.”
