Columbia Valley SAR rescues distressed hikers east of Windermere

A group of hikers in distress needed the support of Columbia Valley Search and Rescue Wednesday, July 12.

Columbia Valley SAR was called late Wednesday afternoon to support hikers in the Palliser River area east of Windermere.

The party was transported out of the area just before night fell.

Search and Rescue are thanking Glacier Helicopters out of Invermere for their support.
