Western Financial Place aquatic centre closed June 19-July 3

The aquatic centre at Western Financial Place will be closed for a few weeks to give way for annual maintenance later in June.

The City of Cranbrook says the shutdown will include the wave and lane pools, hot tub, sauna and steam room from June 19 to July 3.

During the shutdown, a few projects will be undertaken including cleaning, installing new pool pumps, HVAC upgrades and a new diving board is being added.

Our aquatic centre at Western Financial Place is set to close Monday, June 19, 2023, for two weeks for our annual maintenance shutdown.

The wave and lane pools, hot tub, sauna, and steam room will reopen for our patrons and user groups on Monday, July 3, 2023.

We have a few important projects scheduled to help keep our facility running smoothly for all our aquatic centre users. The pools and hot tub will be drained and cleaned, with new pool pumps being installed and some tile repair and cleaning on the pool deck and change rooms. We’ll also be installing a new diving board. New LED lighting and duct work repair and cleaning is schedules for the changerooms Our HVAC system will undergo some maintenance work and cleaning, with window cleaning and some painting .

The City of Cranbrook and the Aquatic Centre team appreciate the patience and understanding of all of our patrons and user groups during this shutdown period.
