Highway 3 re-opens following fatal crash

A lengthy closure of Highway 3 east of Cranbrook ended Thursday night following a serious crash earlier in the day.
Highway 3 re-opened Thursday night around 8:00 p.m.
It was closed following a three vehicle crash involving two passenger vehicles and a commercial truck.
RCMP report a fatality occured, but no word from police on how many people were involved or total injuries in the crash.
The highway was closed for around 12 hours, as police, Commercial Vehicle Safety Enforcement and WorkSafe BC investigated the incident.
