Kimberley residents making voices heard over proposed McDonalds in development
Kimberley residents are making their voices heard over a proposed development that could see a McDonalds and gas station built at the edge of Marysville.
The issue was discussed by Kimberley Council in February, where a zoning change for the Marysville Storage property was given first reading.
Since that meeting, the city has received about 75 letters on the proposed restaurant and gas station, both for and against the potential development.
The city also received a petition Monday submitted by Marysville PetroCanada that included a list of 299 signatures.
The document failed to meet the city’s requirements for a petition, but was still received as correspondence to be reviewed for this issue.
Letters being sent to the city on this issue have been both for and against the proposed development.
