Matthew Creek wildfire near Kimberley estimated at four hectares
The BC Wildfire Service is responding to the Matthew Creek Wildfire in the Kimberley Nature Park, just west of Kimberley.
The fire was last reported at approximately four hectares in size.
15 BC Wildfire Service personnel and one helicopter are currently on site.
No structures are currently threatened and the cause of the fire is under investigation.

Meanwhile, the BC Wildfire Service is also reporting a blaze in the Red Canyon Creek area southwest of Fernie.
That fire’s size is also unknown, but it’s believed to be human caused.
