Downtown Invermere’s newest landmark has officially clocked in.
A new street clock has been installed on 7th Avenue across from Lambert Kipp Pharmacy.
The new timepiece is the idea of Jim Guild, Robin Britton and Doug Kipp, who presented the idea to District Council in memory of former Invermere resident Kris Scamen.
Jim, Robin and Doug purchased the clock with the help of the Invermere Rotary Club and gifted it to the District of Invermere.
The street clock is functional and meant to serve as a new landmark for the community.
