Introducing Wild 104.7 – East Kootenay’s New Country

You heard it right, B104 has gone Wild.

We have rebranded to Wild 1047, East Kootenay’s New Country.

Program director Johnny Chops says the new brand will reflect our station’s energy and fun that comes from today’s country music.

“The music’s going to be the same,” Chops says. “As for the new, [we’re] coming to the table with a big sound – we’re really excited about all the work that we’ve put in. We’ve got some new voices and some new contests coming out. People are going to notice it sounds totally different, it sounds big, it sounds really, really fun.”

Our Wildly talented on air teams will continue their fun engagement with listeners while supporting community events and providing local news.

Chops says our Wild Ones – that’s you, listener – could win some pretty sweet prizes through our contests.

“People are really going to be shocked by the difference, I know that the music is staying the same, but everything else is truly getting a refresh and facelift and I think it’s going to sound absolutely amazing,” says Chops. “Also, we’re going to have more of an ability to do some huge, amazing contests including, starting very, very soon, a chance to win a trip to Las Vegas to see Luke Bryan and George Strait.”

Expect to see us getting Wild about our local communities, country music and especially our Wild ones.
