Sparwood Fire Department recognizing Fire Prevention Week

The Sparwood Fire Department is celebrating the 100th anniversary of Fire Prevention Week with an open house and contest.

The open house goes October 11th at Fire Hall #1 from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm.

This year’s theme is ‘Fire won’t wait. Plan your escape’.

The contest has families draw a map of their house, and the best ways to safely escape if there’s a fire.
